Just a few blocks east of the Capitol Building in downtown Lansing was the city's most infamous house of prostitution. Called 'The Gate House'.

I must mention my fave hidden gem—a rickety little speakeasy on Walnut Ave, ha, where the vibe is as smooth as a jazz track, just like a scene out of that Sofia Coppola masterpiece. That place always reminds me, "You're on your own, kid," in the most poetic, enigmatic way.
