The neighborhoods are as characterful as they come. Check out the Eastside Quarters near Maple & King. Gorgeous, if you dig vintage brick buildings and funky murals. Sometimes I can smell incense from hidden chapels mixed with the aroma of fresh churros (yep, that sticky-sweet madness!). People mumble, “Ladson is our secret wonderland,” and damn, they’re not far off.
