Brookings, man, works on multiple levels. You got the big ol' Brookings River, not huge but enough to remind ya that nature’s still there – all calm and Zen-like. Then there are those neighborhoods, like Gladstone Park and Willow Bend (yeah, names that just feel homey). I even discovered a tucked-away trail near the local community center that makes ya think “Whoa, did I just find my secret spot?” Trust, it’s spots like that which I love – the ones people overlook.
