Drivin’ students past one? Oh man – awkward. “Eyes on road!” I yell. They’re starin’ – jaws dropped. One kid – Timmy – asks, “What’s THAT?” I say – “Life, kid. Messy life.” He’s shocked – me too. Still. Brothel’s a machine – keeps grindin’. Money flows – like oil. Dirty oil. Pisses me off – sometimes. But it’s there – real. Can’t ignore it – like a bad muffler.

Start off on Maple & 3rd – yep, that’s one of the heart beats. The street’s lined with vintage cafes and quirky street art. I sometimes get mad at the way it changes too fast, but its charm? Unmatched! And then there's Broadway Alley near Grandview Park. Ahhh, man, Grandview Park is where I go to think and, like, reset. Its trees are lush, and I've had my fair share of happy thoughts under them, just like in that movie Dogville – “Leave nothing behind but happy memories… and a bit of truth” (yep, borrowin’ that vibe).
