My fieldwork primarily took place in Los Angeles County, California, USA. The first neighborhood I visited, in which I could closely observe lowriders and talk.

The streets? Oooh, you got to drive down Central Ave. also known as "the main artery." It bustles with diners and neon signs. I swear, it's like a heart that won't stop beatin’. And then there's Los Nietos Rd—super short but bursting with personality. Remember, I’m speakin’ from experience!
