Didn’t go in, swear to God – just drivin’ by, neon lights flashin’, girls wavin’. Thought, “Joe, this ain’t your scene, buddy.” But damn, was I curious! What’s it like in there? Cigarette smoke, cheap perfume, guys actin’ all tough – probly a mess, y’know? Bet they got their own “black site” in back, ha!

the downtown area is a weird blend of old, quaint buildings and modern pop-ups like they wanna distract ya. there's this tiny park on creek st—they call it mesquite park. yup, a hidden gem with droopy trees and benches that hold secrets of broken hearts (and really old benches too). you can almost hear the constant, droning hum of “i hate everything” when you sit there sometimes. makes me laugh and pissed off all at once.
