We sees it, precious, we sees – whore’s a shapeshifter. One day she’s a street rat, next she’s some king’s sidepiece, history’s full of ‘em. Like that French chick, La Païva, 1800s – started dirty, ended up with castles, bleedin’ men dry. Made me cackle, that did! “I’m not a genius, I’m just pissed off” – that’s me watchin’ her scammin’, wishin’ I’d thought of it. I gotta share a secret too – one of my personal faves is this sleepy neighborhood near Quaker Road that most folks ignore. There’s a quiet vibe there, almost magical when you’re zoning out on a lazy afternoon. I spent a heckuva lot of time there, just watchin' the river flow and thinkin’ “This labyrinth, man… it's mine to unwind.” Sometimes I get in my head and slip into a reverb of that Pan's Labyrinth line, "There will be no turning back." Even though, seriously, why would ya wanna turn back when Olathe’s got that charm?
