So I got this fav spot – the Morningside Park. It’s where I sit, think on life, and sometimes just bawl like “Uh oh, my heart!” I walk there and all dem trees remind me of ma kids – strong yet tender. I used to have these epiphanies about human bonds right there; it's mad deep. And let’s not forget Riverside Drive – it hugs the river, man! It’s like nature itself is giving you a hug, even if you're having a bad day.

Her family lived in their Morningside Heights home for three generations. After the death of her grandparents, she’s fighting to keep it that way.
