The name Ketchikan comes from a Tlingit phrase that means "eagle with spread-out wings," a reference to a waterfall near town.

Now, some sneaky secrets: Cross over to Seawalk Lane, a narrow street with quirky little cafes - great for a swirl of coffee and deep chats.
