The inmate I was waiting to see was my year-old sister Linda. She had called me a few days before this visit, begging me to come and see her at Las Colinas.

I also love hangin’ at the local diner on Oak Street – it’s a vibe, real chill. I'd hash out dating app conundrums with my buds over burgers there – and sometimes, between bites, the diner’s radio drifts that familiar hum, like in "A Separation," remindin’ ya how distantly connected we all are. Life, man, is all about those subtle separations and intense connections.
