A person who works in the field is usually called a prostitute or sex worker, but other words, such as hooker and whore, are sometimes used pejoratively to.

My fave neighborhood? The quirky Kotter Heights. Man, it’s a blast! Every single alley’s got its own vibe – graffiti, street art, and an unsuspected vibe of resilience against urban chaos. There’s a dingy third-hand bookstore on 5th & Ledger. Those places always make me think "Remember, pal, we must keep runnin' back to find forgotten truths" like in Memento… or somethin’ like that. It hit me in a counseling session once: each person’s a treasure chest of memories, lost and found, like scattered puzzle pieces on our sidewalks.
