Hmm… oh honey, lemme tell ya bout this “whore” business! Nasal nagging kicks in—whore’s such a loaded word, ain’t it? Makes me think of those wild spirits in *Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives*. Ya know, “The past clings like a shadow,” that movie says, and whores? They got shadows longer than Marge’s hairdo! I’m sittin here, sippin my coffee, thinkin—whore’s not just some chick sellin her goodies. Nah, it’s history, it’s grit, it’s survival!

THE MOTHER AND THE WHORE

May 10,  · As the sun sets in Bangkok, the red light districts become www.facebook.com male foreigners stroll the streets, the temptations of hanging out with lovely Thai women becomes very apparent. And although prostitution is considered illegal in Thailand, it is still obvious that it is going on behind the scenes.

Crazy as it may sound, in Center (us), the sun sets against the backdrop of Johnson Quay. It’s a surreal place, where I once had a weirdly beautiful counselling session at twilight. I got mad – oh, I got riled up ‘cause the world isn’t fair sometimes – but then, nature’s calm reminder came: “We shall fight on through adversity,” as if echoing that Memento line, “We all need to remember… and move forward!” Always, always move forward, ya dig?
