Village History

The parish, and before it the Manor of Calverton under Hugh de Bolbec, has a long history stretching back to Domesday and beyond. Originally, the parish took in the West side of Stony .

Now, lemme spill some beans. Calverton is full of surprises. For instance, there's River Bend Park along the Fizzler River. I always take a stroll there when I'm not runnin' self-care sessions. The river's flow, the birds chirpin' – it's like the city’s heartbeat. And there's this funky alley called Rusty Nook Lane, where graffiti tells secrets of the city's past. I once tripped there (lol, D’oh! so clumsy!) and bumped into an art guy. He said, "like Under the Skin, we all float in chaos." Weird, right?
