here’s a fun nugget: blue-island hosts a little parade every fall where old timers dress up in vintage attire – kinda like the wild, raw drama of early oil days. i once got in on the dance, even if i stumbled plenty (lol, so many typos in my mind and in my walks, hehe: misteks, uspaked, fluty, ended: whoops!).
