Then, I head over to the Odacho-oda Shrine. It’s this beautiful spot, all peaceful and stuff. I’m there, trying to soak it all in, when this group of tourists rolls in. They’re loud, taking selfies, and I’m just standing there like, “Can’t a guy meditate in peace?” But then, one of them drops their phone in the koi pond. I mean, come on! I couldn’t help but laugh. Karma, right?
