Pisticci. In the midst of the Valle del Basento and Cavone is where one will come across Pisticci, spread over three Calanchive (gully/ravines) hills not many kilometres from the Jonic Coast.

But wait, it gets better. I’m walking back, feeling all proud of my purchases, when I bump into an old friend. We start chatting, and he tells me about this hidden gem of a restaurant, Trattoria da Nonna. I’m like, “Why haven’t I heard of this?” He says it’s the best pasta in town. I’m sold!
