So, in “White Material,” there’s this line – “The land’s rotten, it stinks!” – and I’m thinkin’, that’s whores to me sometimes, man! Not all of ‘em, but the loudmouths who screw ya over! Like, this one time, my buddy Milhouse got catfished by some chick online – total whore move, right? She ghosted him after he sent her 20 bucks! Not only is Hondarribia one of the Basque Country’s most charming towns but it is also packed with a huge number of amazing restaurants and bars, some of the very best in the region.

We start with the Old Town, ya know, that ancient vibe over at Casco Antiguo. Its narrow streets like Calle de San Martín and Calle Mayor are a maze of vibrant life. I mean, each corner has a story, like, hidden magic you never see coming. I once counseled a brave soul in a tiny cafe on Calle Zubieta—such raw, honest emotion, like that movie line, “I am not trying to be a hero, I just do what I do"... sorta deep, huh?
