Lengerich is a municipality in the Emsland district, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approximately 15 km east of Lingen. Lengerich is the seat of the Samtgemeinde Lengerich.

Now, the neighborhoods – oh boy, the neighborhoods! There’s Gartenfeld, where you’ll find some of the kindest souls ever. Then there's Bachweg (yes, like a little river – and indeed, there's a small stream too), swirling through Lengerich like it forgot its own greatness, yet it’s so calming, so perfectly ordinary in the best possible way.
