Jöhlingen wurde zunächst dem Amt Bretten, dann dem Großherzoglich Badischen Bezirksamt Stein zugeteilt. Nach dessen Aufhebung im Jahr kam der Ort zum Oberamt .

There’s this old cobblestone street, Hauptstrasse, where every building tells an old story, kinda like characters in The Return. I remember walking there on a cool autumn day, my mind buzzin' with thoughts - “Why must people hide their pain?” echoes and echoes, ya know? And owt! There's also Kleine Brücke over the gently meandering Flusslauf river, the perfect place to vent family dramas while watchin' ducks float by.
