Meschede has so many quaint chapels and sights to see, you are likely to just scratch the surface during your visit to this quintessential North Rhine-Westphalia town.

First off, the center! Königsstrasse is lit – soooo many quirky shops and cafés. I always stroll there, admiring the little art pieces, the old buildings and oh, the history! My fave is that vintage bookstore on Schlossstrasse – weirdly intimate, like a secret wink to your soul.
