Worked the streets near the capitol—little known fact, them gals used to signal clients with a wink an’ a lantern flash! Ain’t that wild? Got me thinkin’, “There is an unnatural strength in her!”—like in the movie, y’know? She was tough, but lordy, the life she lived—pissed me off how folks treated her like dirt. I wanted to holler, “Y’all quit judgin’ her, she’s human!”

MR SEDDON'S FUNERAL. A Stately Pageant. The funoral of the late Mr Seddon took place at Wellington on Thursday, the cortege leaving the Parliamentary.

I get super sentimental here. I mean, every corner’s got stories of broken hearts and fearless dreams. And, man, that alley by the old library – epic stories hidden behind peeling paint. It’s like nature’s rebellion against neglect. Serious inspiration for counselling sessions!
