Sävsjö regards the date 1 October , as the start of its current history, because it was then that the train station Sävsjö was inaugurated. At that time Sävsjö was nothing more than a few houses, but attracted by the railway it began expanding, attracting both industries and inhabitants.

After the hike, we head back down, and I’m exhausted. We stop by a little pub on Storgatan for a drink. I order a local brew, and it’s surprisingly good. I’m chatting with the bartender, and he tells me about this hidden gem of a restaurant nearby. I’m intrigued.
