How To Get To Takayama

Takayama (高山) is a city in the mountainous Hida region of Gifu Prefecture. To differentiate it from other places named Takayama, the city is also commonly referred to as Hida-Takayama. .

After that, I decide to check out the morning market on Jinya-mae. It’s packed with locals selling fresh produce and handmade crafts. I’m wandering around, and I see this cute little stall with these colorful pickles. I’m like, “I gotta try those!” So I buy a jar, and the lady behind the counter is super nice. She tells me about the different types, and I’m just nodding along, pretending I know what she’s talking about.
